The Spina Bifida Association of Wisconsin, Inc. offers a variety of programs and services for its members. We offer programs for parents, families, adults, young adults and children with Spina Bifida.
Resource Center We have lot of resources available ranging brochures on folic acid and Spina Bifida to many resources other items related to Spina Bifida. Our office is open Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are able to help you with materials and resources during this time. If you would like to speak directly with our Resource Coordinator, Tish Sylvester, you may contact the office on Tuesdays and Fridays between 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and Wednesdays between 9 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. You may also reach her via e-mail at tsylvester@sbawi.org.

Parent Connection/Educational Workshops These educational sessions connect parents of children with Spina Bifida. The purpose of these educational sessions allows parents to learn what their child needs to stay healthy, network with other parents and build friendships. SBAWI Adult Night Out Adult Night Out is a chance for adults with Spina Bifida (age 18 and up) to get together with each other to enjoy an evening out. This is a great way to develop friendships and network with other adults who have Spina Bifida! Date: Time: Location: RSVP to the SBAWI office if you are interested in attending by calling 414.607.9061 or emailing sbawi@sbawi.org Illuminations Illuminations: Resources for Parenting a Child with Spina Bifida Program provides parents and caregivers of persons living with Spina Bifida tools and resources at critical points in development and transition. This communication will begin at birth and continue on through adulthood. All Newborns/Infants with Spina Bifida that are a part of the Association will receive a packet of information along with that a monetary gift to help the family out. After the initial packet goes out for newborns, packets will be distributed to the following age groups:
If you are a parent or a young adult in one of these categories, you will be receiving an e-mail when it gets close to you or your child reaching one of these categories. The e-mail will confirm if you are interested in receiving the packet and if you would like any specific information added to the packet.
